Just a Typical Workday (and Free Music Downloads!)

April 21, 2012 | Colonel Thomas Palmatier

The Soldiers of The U.S. Army Band "Pershing's Own" serve the Army and the Nation through music in a wide variety of settings each day.  Here, The Army Orchestra, led by Concertmistress Master Sergeant Laura Knudson, accompany Jungwook Choo, the 2012 winner of the band's Young Artist Competition.

The Army Blues are currently presenting a series of concerts paying tribute to the legacy of Count Basie featuring SSG Andre McRae, a singer with the band's newest performing element, Army Voices.

Today, The Concert Band is arrayed on the grounds of The White House for the Spring Garden Tour.

And every single day, Army Buglers sound Taps in Arlington National Cemetery.  This photo is of SGM (Retired) Pat Mastroleo, formerly the Senior Bugler, who today lies at rest in Section 34 of Arlington National Cemetery.

Want to download or listen to free music?  The new Army Band Jukebox has over 150 titles and more added all of the time.
