An MS II experience in the Rocket Batallion

April 06, 2011 | Cadet Jake Dippman

The role of an Army officer is not an easy thing to learn. As an MS II cadet, I can now fully appreciate the four full years given to us in order to learn this role. So far, my MS II year in the Rocket Battalion has been an enlightening one. I have learned a great deal of valuable information that will help me latter on in the years to come.
A great deal of the knowledge that I have gained so far this year stems from both a fantastic MS instructor and to a large part, the Recon platoon. Recon has allowed me to take what I have learned in the classroom and apply it in the field. This combination of learning and then applying has helped me greatly, making Recon a valuable asset to my cadet career.
After having gone through the Recon tab qualification, I am very proud to say that I have earned the Recon tab. Despite the hard work and commitment tab qualification took, I am thoroughly convinced it was worth every second. I will be wearing this tab with pride and represent the qualities that it stands for.
